Junior Breakers Try Outs will be held on the following dates:
- Pre-Try Outs - Sunday 7th November 2021
- Try out 1 - Friday 12th November 2021 (U16 boys & U14 boys only)
- Try out 1 – Sunday 14th November 2021
- Try out 2 – Friday 19th November 2021
- Try out 3 – Sunday 21st November 2021

- Under 12 – players born in 2011 and 2012
- Under 14 – players born in 2009 and 2010

2022 TEAM 1 COACHES
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to represent the Mornington District Basketball Association (MDBA) as a Mornington Breaker it is compulsory for a player to participate in our MDBA domestic competition.

Sample sizes are available to try on at Mornington Basketball Stadium during business hours and during domestic competition times. If you are ordering a singlet you MUST try this on for size in the office prior to ordering. We will not refund for incorrect sizes ordered (note that the sizing is NOT standard Australian sizes).
To avoid disappointment please ensure you tell your son/daughter that there is no option to select singlet numbers.

TEAM MANAGER – EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Our Club relies on volunteers and one of the most important roles is that of Breakers Team Manager. If you are super organised, a great communicator and would like to support your child’s team in 2022 please send a brief email containing your details to manager@morningtonbasketball.com.au
Your duties will include collecting fees in advance, liaising with parents and coaches, attending to first aid during games and training and organising tournaments and events.
All Coach, Team Manager and Assistant Coach positions must be approved by the Committee of Management before the appointments are confirmed. Team Managers are required to submit a valid Working With Children Check and a signed Member Protection Declaration.

PERMISSION TO TRAIN & CLEARANCES
Players that have previously played representative basketball for another Association are welcome to attend Breakers Try Outs and will require a signed Permission to Train or Clearance submitted to Mornington Basketball prior to Trying Out. A player that presents at Try Outs without approval from their former Association will not be permitted into the stadium. Permission to Train and Clearance requests allow a player to train/try out with another Association. Requests must be placed in writing to manager@morningtonbasketball.com.au. Permission to Train will be granted up to 20th November 2021 only this allows us to finalise squads and no extensions will be granted. MDBA has 5 days to respond to requests and will not sign requests on demand.
COMMUNICATION
Mornington Basketball uses Team App to primarily communicate along with Facebook and our website. Please ensure you join your correct access group and turn notifications on for TeamApp.
