Jump Ball teaches the fundamental skills required to play basketball and is delivered in a fun and energetic environment with experienced coaches who tailor the training to suit the skill level of each group. All new participants will receive a free basketball.

Beginner: Ages 5-6 years old. For players either starting to play in the domestic competition or who have never played. The participants will learn the fundamental skills of playing basketball. It is highly recommended that any child who wishes to be a successful and competitive basketballer, in the future, should participate in this program for a minimum of six (6) months.

Advanced: Ages 7-10 years old. For players who are either already playing in the domestic competition or have done Jump Ball Beginner. This program is the pathway into the Ground Breakers Program.

Ausome Hoops: Ages 6-16 years old. For players who have been diagnosed with ASD. Players of all skill levels are welcome to participate, the program will focus on skill development and match play delivered in an environment suitable to their needs. All players must pre-register online and pay the applicable fees by following the link below.


Monday 1st February to Monday 29th March 2021.


  • Beginner: 4:10-4:55pm  at Mornington Basketball Stadium
  • Advanced: 4:10-4:55pm at Mornington Basketball Stadium


  • Beginner: 9:00-9:45 at Mornington Leisure Centre Dunns Road
  • Advanced: 9:45-10:30 at Mornington Leisure Centre Dunns Road
  • Ausome Hoops: 9:45-10:30 at Mornington Leisure Centre Dunns Road



Be sure to wear shorts and a T-shirt or singlet suitable for sports. Shorts may not have pockets of any kind. Appropriate running or court shoes must be worn. Don't forget a water bottle and bring a basketball with your name on it.
