Mornington Basketball is pleased to announce Rep Prep #2
With the easing of restrictions by the Victorian Government we are now able to offer indoor training (from 9th November) under strict Basketball Victoria Guidelines (Orange 20) and the Mornington Basketball COVID Safety Plan. Note that these dates are subject to change.
Rep Prep training will assist players in preparing for Breakers Try Outs in December 2020. Focusing on mental and physical conditioning, fitness and skills.
Dates:
- 8th November (outdoor)
- 15th November
- 22nd November
- 29th November
Session times
- Under 12 Girls - 8.30am – 9.10am
- Under 14 Girls - 9.30am – 10.10am
- Under 16/18 Girls -10.30am – 11.10am
- Under 12 Boys -11.30am – 12.10am
- Under 14 Boys -12.30pm – 1.10pm
- Under 16 Boys -1.30pm – 2.10pm
- Under 18 Boys - 2.30pm – 3.10pm
Under 21 players Aged 18 or under may attend the Under 18 session
VJBL Age Groups for 2021
- Under 12 – Players Born in 2010 and 2011
- Under 14 – Players Born in 2008 and 2009
- Under 16 – Players Born in 2006 and 2007
- Under 18 – Players Born in 2004 and 2005
Venue:
Mornington Basketball Stadium.
Session on the 8th November 2020 will be held on the Mornington Secondary College oval. In the event of inclement weather this session will be held online via Zoom.
What to bring
Basketball, skipping rope, towel, drink bottle
What to wear
Breakers training uniform or domestic uniform. The first session on 8th November 2020 will be outdoors and players should wear sunscreen appropriate footwear and clothing based on the weather.
Who should attend
Only players that will be attending the 2021 Breakers Try Outs in December 2020 from Under 12 to Under 18.
Fees
$35.00 per player plus the $25.00 Basketball Victoria Annual Licence fee (if not already paid). Must be pre-paid online by following the Register Now button below.
Coaches
Sessions will be designed by our High Performance Coach and delivered by Breakers coaches that will be involved in the age group for the upcoming season.
COVID Safety
All sessions will be conducted in line with Victorian Government regulations, Basketball Victoria Return to Sport Guidelines and the Mornington Basketball COVID Safety Plan. A Biosafety Officer will be in attendance at all sessions. No spectators will be permitted and we ask that parents DO NOT congregate in the carpark. Masks are compulsory for coaching staff and employees. Masks are optional for players.
Breakers Try Outs:
It is proposed to hold Breakers Try Outs on Sunday 6th and 13th December 2020. Specific times, details and registrations will be confirmed over the coming weeks.
